About Daily Sudoku

Daily Sudoku gives you a fresh puzzle every day, and everyone gets the same one. Choose Easy, Medium or Hard, fill the grid so that every row, every column and every 3x3 box contains the digits 1 to 9 exactly once, and see how fast you can solve it. Each puzzle has exactly one solution, so you never need to guess. Solve at least one puzzle each day to build your streak, and come back tomorrow for a new set.

Tap a cell and then a number to fill it. Switch on Notes to write small pencil marks for the numbers that could still fit. The game highlights the row, column and box of the selected cell, marks repeated numbers in red, and dims a number on the keypad when all nine are placed. If you get stuck, use Hint to fill one cell, Check to find mistakes, or Undo to go back. Your progress is saved in the browser, so you can close the page and continue later. Want more practice? Press Random for an extra puzzle at any time.

Sudoku tips

• Scan for a number that appears often, and look for the one box or row where it can still go.
• Look for cells that can only hold a single number, then fill them first.
• Use Notes in tight boxes. When two cells share the same two notes, those numbers cannot go anywhere else in that group.
• Do not guess. If you have to guess, look for a missing step you did not notice.
