About Nonogram
Nonogram is a picture logic puzzle. Every row and column has a list of numbers. Each number tells you how many filled squares are in a row in that line, and there must be at least one empty square between the groups. A clue of 3 1 means three filled squares, a gap, then one filled square. Use the clues to work out which squares to fill, and a hidden picture appears.
Tap or click a square to fill it. Drag to paint a whole line quickly. Switch to Mark mode, or use a right click, to put a cross on squares you know are empty. Clues turn grey when their line is complete. Every puzzle can be solved by pure logic, so you never need to guess.
There are five sizes, from an easy 5x5 up to a big 15x15, with 40 puzzles in each size. Press Daily to play a 10x10 puzzle that is the same for everyone today. Stuck? Hint reveals a wrong square, Check highlights mistakes and Undo takes back your last stroke. The game saves your progress in the browser.
Nonogram tips
- Start with the biggest numbers. In a 10 line, a clue of 8 must fill at least 6 squares in the middle.
- Mark the squares that must be empty. Crosses help you see where groups can fit.
- Work back and forth between rows and columns, each new square gives new information.
- Edges are useful: if a line starts with a filled square, the first group is already placed.
