About Rim Rocket

Rim Rocket is a free basketball shooting game that you can play in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer. Pull the ball back anywhere on the court like a slingshot, let go, and watch it arc toward the hoop. A shot that touches nothing is a swish and pays the most, a shot off the backboard is a bank shot, and a shot that rattles the rim still counts. Sink baskets in a row to get hot and your next basket counts double.

There are 99 levels in 11 themed worlds, from a sunny meadow court to a floating galaxy core. Every world adds a new twist. Hoops start to move, blocks and sliding bars appear in your way, wind pushes the ball sideways, spinning bars and bouncy bumpers send it in new directions, trampolines throw it back up, portals teleport it across the court, and in the low gravity world the ball floats for a long time. Some hoops even vanish and return, so timing matters.

The goals change from level to level. Some levels ask you to score a number of baskets with a limited number of shots, others are timed, some count only bank shots, and in star levels you collect floating stars on the way into the hoop. Every ninth level is a boss fight: a boss patrols above the hoop and every basket you score hurts it, but it can block your shots, so you need clean arcs. Finish with shots or time to spare to earn three stars and bonus coins.

Coins buy helpers. The Guide shows a long aiming line and the wind for three shots, Shots or Time adds extra attempts, Big Rim widens the hoop for three shots, and the Fireball melts through the net with a burning shot that curves toward the hoop. Easy, Medium and Hard modes let beginners and experts enjoy the same game at their own pace.

Tips for Rim Rocket

• Pull back farther for more power and aim slightly higher than you think. A high arc drops through the hoop at a steeper angle, which makes it easier to score.
• When the wind arrow shows a strong push, aim into it. The wind affects the ball for the whole flight.
• Watch a moving hoop for a moment and shoot when it is heading toward the spot where the ball will land.
• Use the backboard on bank levels. Aim at the board just above the rim and let the ball drop in.
• Save your streak. A swish followed by another basket sets you on fire for a double score.
